A Travellerspoint blog

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing...

snow -20 °C

Hey there! Haha not quite exactly sure how to start my very first travel blog. This is kind of a test, to test the travel blog waters and see if it's coming I could get into. I would love to tell my stories on here, but I need the heart for it, so here goes nothing...

Well I sit here on a snowy, cold, winters night here in Calgary, Alberta. Just slapping my keyboard on my good old Macbook pro, sipping a green tea and snackin on some cheesy rice crackers. Sitting, waiting, wishing for the next 16 days to go by as quickly as possible. I have 9 flying shifts left at Enerjet and 6 shifts with Red Bull left; not that I'm counting or anything haha. I hate winter. Today I had to brush off my car and scrap my windshield. Brutal. I'm so sick of it. Winter and me are not friends and never were. Back to my countdown... in 23 days I'm leaving on a Caribbean booze cruise with my family on my mom's side, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins the whole bunch starting in Florida and heading to Bahamas, St Thomas and St Marten. Plan to do some snorkelling, extreme watersliding in the Bahamas at Atlantis and I'm all booked up for a sweet two tank dive on one of the islands. Super stoked too because this is the biggest cruise ship in the world apparently it's got everything - from zip lining, to ice skating, to shopping malls, comedy clubs, nightclubs, climbing rockwall, waterslides, flowrider you get the drift. So this is where my thoughts lay these days. I day dream constantly about what my life will be like in less than a month.... in 16 days I will be flying back to Kelowna with nothing but a few suitcases and my travelling backpack for asia, 39 days. Not sure how long these blogs are supposed to be, but my fingers are sore for the evening. Will write again once my life picks up and I do something other than work. Another test, I need to attach a photo don't I... let's see... a photo of the cruiseship perhaps...
